Following the Missio Dei
Mission
What does that word mean to you?
For some it’s a snappy buzzword. For others a tired and overused mantra.
There are two guys whose work has been hugely influential in helping me to form and figure out my view that following the Way of Jesus means being a sent people, not just like minded Christians hanging out in a Holy Huddle, but rather people who are out there in our communities with our sleeves rolled up!
Renowned missiologists Alan Hirsch and Mike Frost keep cropping up on my blog because – for me – they have most effectively articulated, and most importantly lived out this idea that we should follow the Missio Dei…the Mission of God
There’s a phrase that I picked up from Mike Frost that has real resonance for me and my family at the moment.
We are“Following the Missio Dei into Strange Places”
